Building Automation Systems (BAS)/HVAC Specialist



Purpose Statement

The Building Automation Systems/HVAC Specialist will be responsible for district wide building automations and HVAC systems.  This person is responsible for developing and monitoring the automation system's management program for the purpose of reducing utility consumption under administrative-approved Policy & Guidelines. Basic areas of responsibility include: Oversight of building systems including but not limited to HVAC, lighting controls, and other duties assigned by the MEP Coordinator.  From an indoor environmental perspective, this position shall ensure guideline temperatures, fresh air exchanges/ ventilation, indoor air quality per ASHRAE recommendations, and safety, and welfare of all District occupants.

Pay Grade: Grade 11

Reports To: Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) Coordinator

Wage/Hour Status:  Exempt

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.; must be available for on-call hours

The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands:  significant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, driving, standing and walking.
