Plumber
Purpose Statement
The role of plumber is to maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gasses by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures districtwide. This person will maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities. Duties may include performing daily plumbing operations, supporting school facilities for activities and events, and collaborating effectively with the custodial, maintenance, and building teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of plumbing experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade School Certificate or equivalent
- Ability to read blueprints
- Demonstrates a reasonable degree of computer proficiency
- Must possess [and maintain] a valid Class C Non-Commercial Driver's License.
- Successful candidate is subject to post-offer pre-employment physical.
Essential Functions
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
- Address and resolve minor plumbing issues to ensure proper function and usability.
- Complete work orders promptly, maintaining accurate records of completed tasks.
- Recommend replacement or repair of plumbing equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including inventory of spare parts.
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned by the Operations Department.
- Respond promptly to safety or operational concerns, including facility damage and vandalism.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors, providing information or directing inquiries appropriately.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on plumbing system operation and maintenance.

- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintains confidentiality and integrity in all job responsibilities.

- Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns or direct appropriate personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the district’s goals and operations.
Working Environment
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, driving, standing and walking. Working conditions may include extreme temperatures and humidity. Hazards may include exposure to communicable diseases. This position requires one to maintain emotional control under stress.
